How to Watch Youtube Videos not Available in Your Country

The purpose of this page is to provide a way to unblock YouTube videos that are only allowed to be viewed in certain countries. This article is not about unblocking entire YouTube.com domain, but rather just the certain videos that have geographic restrictions. Depending on where you live, you may encounter one of the following messages when trying to watch some video on YouTube:

" This video is not available in your country "
" The uploader has not made this video available in your country. "
" This video contains content from ..., who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. "

The problem is explained on the official YouTube Help page, however YouTube offers no solution to those affected by this restriction. Apparently, either YouTube or the poster of the video had a problem with your country and has decided to block it or only allow a few select countries to view that video. Depending on where you live, this could be a major issue with some countries having it worse than others. In Germany, for example, most music videos will be blocked due to copyright issues.

How to bypass YouTube country restrictions? 
Since YouTube uses your IP address to determine your location, a proxy can be used to disguise your location and make it appear that you're connecting from whatever country that specific proxy is located. If some YouTube video is only allowed to be viewed in the United States, and you live in Canada, then using a proxy that's located in the United States will make YouTube think that the request is coming from United States.

What countries block my YouTube video? 
So you have found a YouTube video that's blocked in your region, the next step would be to find a proxy that's located in one of the allowed countries where that video can be viewed. The problem is that you don't know which countries allow it. All you know for certain is that it's definitely blocked in your country.

A simple guess may work - YouTube videos are rarely blocked for US visitors, so a proxy located in the United States should work in most cases, but sometimes YouTube is stricter than that. Some YouTube videos are blocked for the entire world except for a few select countries.

Fortunately, YouTube provides an API that returns detailed information on any YouTube video such as the list of countries where that video is made available. We simplified it even further, by providing this easy to use tool to check the country restrictions for any YouTube video.

Microsoft Confirms Windows Logo Redesign, Assures Us That It Isn’t A Flag

It’s official: Microsoft has confirmed that the Windows 8 logo redesign rumor is true (and that those renderings were pretty spot-on.) At long last — since Windows 3.1 — we may now rest assured that the logo is indeed of windows, and not a flag. This is the point that was raised by the designer who worked on the logo, Paula Scher, to sell Microsoft on the school of thought behind her mockups that aims to bring the Windows logo back to its roots: “…your name is Windows. Why are you a flag?”

It’s quite a radical change in branding; far more drastic than the revised logo that XP brought to the table. The iconic Windows colors of red, green, blue, and yellow are being ditched in favor of a flat, single-colored flag. The squares are now rectangles. Such a drastic change to a massive, world-recognized brand is symbolic to the risks that Microsoft are taking with the product itself. In the scheme of things, this logo change is probably the least riskiest change to Windows 8 made thus far.

The flood of negative criticism has already begun to fill my timeline. But, it appears that the Windows logo is already facing left and turning a blind eye to the haters. Good for it.

How to configure BSNL 3g in Apple IPAD APN Setting

Configuring Apple iPhone For Using BSNL 3G Service

Few days ago I shared a post on how to activate and setup BSNL 3G on your mobile phone, however, if you are using Apple iPhone 3G/3GS then sadly BSNL does not provide you any automated method to configure iPhone specific 3G settings, sending an SMS with iPhone as phone model to receive configuration settings result in the reply below.




















After lots of tinkering I was able to get BSNL 3G working on my Apple iPhone 3G and surprisingly all it needs is a single APN value to get configured as demonstrated below.

To configure BSNL 3G you simply need to enter bsnlnet as APN value by navigating to Settings -> General -> Network -> Cellular Data Network -> APN as shown below.
